Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS), the country’s top trade body in the IT sector, has been working tirelessly for the development and expansion of the IT sector at home and abroad.
Following this, BASIS is participating in various events in Austria, Hungary and the United Kingdom in collaboration with the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB), Bangladesh High Commission in London and Bangladesh Mission in Vienna and Permanent Embassies. For the first time, the organization is going to add a new milestone as a title sponsor (headline partner) in any international event.
A press conference was held at the BASIS auditorium on Tuesday, where BASIS President Russell T. Ahmed made the announcement.
BASIS is working to further advance the IT sector with a special emphasis on the seven pillars. The promotion and development of the industry in the foreign market is one of the two pillars. And that is why BASIS has taken this new initiative to be the title sponsor of any international event for the first time in the promotion and expansion of Bangladesh’s IT sector in the European market.

The Festival of Sourcing, a flagship event of the Global Sourcing Association, will be held from July 5 to 6 in the United Kingdom.
