BASIS’s new milestone in IT branding

Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS), the country’s top trade body in the IT sector, has been working tirelessly for the development and expansion of the IT sector at home and abroad.

Following this, BASIS is participating in various events in Austria, Hungary and the United Kingdom in collaboration with the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB), Bangladesh High Commission in London and Bangladesh Mission in Vienna and Permanent Embassies. For the first time, the organization is going to add a new milestone as a title sponsor (headline partner) in any international event.

A press conference was held at the BASIS auditorium on Tuesday, where BASIS President Russell T. Ahmed made the announcement.

BASIS is working to further advance the IT sector with a special emphasis on the seven pillars. The promotion and development of the industry in the foreign market is one of the two pillars. And that is why BASIS has taken this new initiative to be the title sponsor of any international event for the first time in the promotion and expansion of Bangladesh’s IT sector in the European market.

BASIS Senior Vice President Samira Zuberi Himika, BASIS Director Ahmedul Islam Babu, BASIS Advisory Standing Committee Chairman M Rashidul Hasan, BASIS Standing Committee on International Market Expansion TIM Nurul Kabir and others were present at the press conference presided over by BASIS President Russell T Ahmed.

BASIS Director Ahmedul Islam Babu said, “We are working hard to implement the goals set by the Government of Bangladesh and BASIS. According to various international surveys, various countries of the world including Japan are giving priority to Bangladesh in terms of partnership in information technology. We believe that this new initiative of BASIS will play a significant role in further expanding the international market.

The BASIS delegation will visit Austria on June 30, Hungary on July 1 and the United Kingdom on July 2 to 6 as part of this year’s campaign to promote Bangladesh’s information technology sector. Led by BASIS President Russell T. Ahmed, BASIS Senior Vice President Samira Zuberi Himika and Vice President (Administration) Abu Daud Khan are on the visit.

The Festival of Sourcing, a flagship event of the Global Sourcing Association, will be held from July 5 to 6 in the United Kingdom. This year, BASIS is going to set a new milestone for the first time by becoming the ‘headline partner’ of this flagship event. The Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) is sponsored by BASIS.
